Our sponsorship policy
Every property in the Maldives is listed here for free. Sponsorship, when it starts, will buy position and imagery on top of that listing — never the listing itself, and never the facts in it.
Right now, everything is free
AtollIndex is new. Until the index is complete and the traffic is real, we are not charging anyone anything. Listings are free, corrections are free, and there is no paid tier to buy. When we do start selling placement we will say so on this page first, and no listing will be removed or downgraded because its owner chooses not to pay.
What sponsorship will buy
Position and imagery. A sponsored property can sit at the top of its atoll page or in the band on the home page, using its own photography instead of our stock crop. Every one of those placements is labelled Sponsored where it appears, not in a footnote.
What it will never buy
A better position in the sorted results — sorting is by transfer time, price or name, never by who paid. A change to a facts table. The removal of an unflattering line from a write-up. The removal of a competitor. Or a follow link: every sponsored link carries rel="sponsored", which protects your site as much as ours.
Why we are this strict
A reader who trusts the index is worth more to a sponsor than one who does not. The moment placement starts buying facts, the facts stop being worth reading, and then the placement stops being worth buying. The disclosure is not modesty — it is the product.
