Thaa is Kolhumadulu, a large atoll with very little resort development and a strong boatbuilding tradition. These are working islands — fishing, carpentry, and not much tourism.
That makes it one of the more honest places to see island life in the Maldives, and one of the harder ones to book. Guesthouses exist but are few.
